Celebrate the Beauty of the Butterfly
Butterfly Pavilion at the Natural History Museum: More than 30 native North American butterfly species and an array of plants take up residence every summer for the Butterfly Pavilion. Wander through a unique changing ecosystem, witness free-flying creatures interacting with plant life, and emerge with a better understanding of the environment needed for the survival of these spectacular animals on wing. A great way to learn more about becoming a Monarch Waystation from citizen scientists and gardeners. Learn more on the NHM website, and reserve your admission tickets ($17/adults, $8/children, free for NHM members.)

Wesson Endorces Ramsey for City Council District 4
City Council President Herb Wesson recently endorsed Carolyn Ramsey in the
race for LA City Council District 4 “I think it’s important to tell you why I am supporting Carolyn,”
said Wesson. “We are standing in the heart of the CD4. I started my
career as the chief of staff and I know it’s the heart of the council
office; it really prepared me; taught me how to get votes to pass
legislation and I think it makes Carolyn head and shoulders above the
others in this race.”
“I’m grateful for the strong support of Council President Wesson as we kick off our campaign for the May 19th runoff.” said Carolyn Ramsay. “His strong leadership on economic development means we can begin working together to rebuild our infrastructure and preserve our neighborhoods like historic Wilshire Park with over 500 historic homes.”
Ramsay has also been endorsed by her former boss, Councilman Tom LaBonge, who is termed out. City Councilman Gil Cedillo and Councilman Mitch O’Farrell have also endorsed Ramsay.
The endorsement gives Ramsay a boost over challengers David Ryu.
