The Bates|Hennington team just enjoyed a lovely breakfast at Le Pain Quotidien on Larchmont Boulevard, talking about family, friendship and real estate with Teresa Mack of KW Westchester. Looking forward to our wine and cheese open house at 2919 Waverly Drive this evening from 6-8pm. Hope to see you at this fantastic 5 bedroom home, or in the future on the Boulevard!

Recommended Field Trip --
An Evening at the Buster Keaton Estate
To Benefit the Los Angeles Conservancy
Saturday, October 6, 2012 6-9 PM: Cocktail reception
8:30 -10:30 PM: Sponsor dinner
The LA Conservancy’s 2012 Benefit – An Evening at the
Buster Keaton Estate – is on Saturday, October 6. The exclusive location
is the 1926 Keaton Estate in Beverly Hills, a stunning Mediterranean
Revival palazzo that is one of the last remaining mansions built for
silent movie stars. It is especially fitting that this year’s benefit
is in Beverly Hills, which has made great strides in historic
preservation over the past year.
The legendary comedian Buster Keaton built the 10,000 square-foot home shortly after completing his masterpiece, The General. Yet the estate’s Hollywood pedigree doesn’t stop there: it was later home to other stars, including Marlene Dietrich, Cary Grant, and James Mason. By the mid-1990s, the estate had fallen into disrepair. It was purchased by a pair of preservation-minded buyers who immediately undertook a major restoration effort.
Individual tickets to the event include a three-hour cocktail and hors d’oeuvres party and a unique opportunity to explore the house and its grounds at your leisure. Sponsors at the $2,500 level and above will enjoy an al fresco dinner on the estate grounds. Various ticket prices are available. Space for dinner is limited. Please reserve early to avoid disappointment. Attire is cocktail or 1920s vintage. For more information, please contact Adrienne Kisson at 213.430.4204 or akisson@laconservancy.org.
